-Thanks A Windmillion-

Hmmm... Is this Mermaid Tears?
(something smells fishy)

Thank You.

A few months ago Kerastase discontinued my favorite light weight hair serum, Lumiere. I was crushed. It was my go-to for just about anybody looking to tame some fly-aways or add a little shine without weighing down your do. Just when I lost all hope and was playing more with oleo- relax and elixir ultime they released a new lightweight serum in the new line Cristaliste. LOVE IT. Every fine girl needs a fine serum.

It makes your hair feel like silk. Nothing smoothes the cuticle better.

Third Knuckle... Who needs em?

Today I nearly chopped off my entire third knuckle mid Fly-Away Slide technique.
You know it has been a lovely-mad day at PMTS SLC when you must resort to dressing your battle wound with perm cotton and scotch tape...

... this is what happens when i use a fresh pair of six-inchers.

Top Secret

Whip Your Hair?

Do you whip your hair back and forth? -- yeah???

Stop it!

Whipping leads to split ends and split ends open hair up a whole world to breakage, snapage, and sad, sad hair. Lucky for you I have a cure for those who have taken Miss. Smith's unfortunate hair advice.
Girls with long locks everywhere have been taming the frazzled ends for centuries, and one of the classiest trends is back! Hello Top Knot. Oh, how we have missed you. The top knot is super easy to achieve and cute to boot.

Now get those loose ends tied up.

Here's how:

What you will need:

- boar bristle brush

- hair elastics

- Bobby pins

- hair donut( if you need some extra fluff)
- hairspray
- dry shampoo

Lets get started

1. Flip your head upside down and Brush your hair to the apex (top) of your head. Using a boar brush will release the natural oils your body produces and will add lots of shine to your hair.

2. Secure your hair into a pony tale using a soft elastic, to prevent breakage. For a big fancy bun or if your hair is a little shorter add the donut here around the pony tale. Spray some dry shampoo and Back comb just a little bit to create a nice anchor.

3. Wrap and tuck hair all around the donut until it is completely concealed and pin with bobbies along the way. If you are not using a donut just twist wrap into a bun.

4. Spray with some hairspray and tug gently at the bun to loosen it up a bit. Spray down any flyways and you are good to go.

Top knot victory!

Tips Tips Tips

1. If you have some natural twists and ringlets  remember that moisture is a curls best friend.

2. Heat tools zap all moisture out of your hair and that will make you sad. Please. Use heat protection.

3. Using essential tea tree oil gives you a happy scalp and hair with a healthy sheen. Tonic is fabulous.

Eye Liner: Fun With Color

Eye Liner is not just for smokey looks. Sure it will make your lashes look 5x's thicker but why not have a little fun with it? Add some complimentary color.

Complementary colors can be used to subdue or inhanse eachother depending on the hue.

Whether  you are working with an icey blue iris or a coppery hazel you can't go wrong by tracking the color across the wheel to add some va-va-voom.

Add a dash of interesting color along the upper lash line with a thin line of your favorite complementary liner. While you're at it, why not use a color that pops. Green eyes? How about a bright mahogany? I think yes!

Use an angle brush with a bright eye shadow right along the lash line. Or get yourself some of these...

Now that's fun eye color without looking like ... this.

How To: Hula Hoop

Low on cash?
Need to fit a low impact cardio workout in in a short amount of time with limited space?

Well if so I am about to rock your world Hula Hoop stylie!  Not only will you create your very own love handle blaster that will crush 210 clalories in 20 minutes you will be able to make like 12 of them! Sell them for $$$.

Here is what you will need:

Irrigation Tubing 3/4"

Irrigation Tube Plugs 3/4"

Blow Dryer

Colorful Electrical Tape

Scissior

Clear Coat

Rice (optional)

Lets get started.

-Firstly take your coiled irrigation tubing and cut it into 3 yard sections... or have the kind slaes associate at the hardware store do it for you.

-Now take one slice of the tubing and heat up the ends with your hair dryer. Once the ends are warmed up and slightly maleable, push the 3/4" tube plug into the end of the tube. If you would like a weighted hoop now is the time to add 1 cup of dry rice into the open tube. Warm up the other end and close the tube together. Now you have a basic hoop. Congratulations!

-Your hoop is fantastic and functional but not very festive. Lets be honest... if it is not fancy you probably wont be too inclined to use it.

-Sooo...  Lets get wrapping. Take that colorful tape and wrap your hoop to your content.

-Remember to use some extra tape reinforcement around the seam of the hoop.

-Finish with some clear coat nail polish on any tape seams and VIOLA! You are ready to make some hula hoop memories!

This right here is pretty fantastic!
